As the oil prices sore up along with everything else, I have decided to stop driving and make use of public transport instead. It seems a better deal in most ways, except for one: Waiting for bus. Especially with US of A's Public transport system, I need to start at least half an hour early so that if I miss a bus, I can still reach office on time. Anyway, here is yesterday's shot...

doesn't it feel awkward to carry a camera along most of the time....!?
ReplyDeleteWell if you referring to this series then I use my Phone camera for this but I do use to carry my camera around most of the time till I injured my shoulder and couldn't do that anymore. Carrying camera is not awkward but flipping it out all the time in front of people can be really awkward. But then you get used to it, I guess...
ReplyDeleteYeah that's what I am talking about too, taking out your camera in front of strangers (like for this bus stand photo), and then taking their photo! I could get beaten up for doing that in India ;-)

I understand what you are saying. I had same hesitation when I started out but as our prof advised us, if you ask for permissions and don't avoid eyes after taking pictures, people usually don't mind. My standard line is, its for a class project. I am a student photographer. (well its a lie now...I WAS a student photographer)... but its for a project nevertheless.
ReplyDeleteGuess people in US are far friendlier too..
